Certifications - Generalist and Advanced

The expectation is that all nurses meet the AACN Essentials Level I or Level II, and the Generalist or Advanced Forensic Nurse specialists and sub-specialists demonstrate mastery of the domains of the FNCB Core Competencies and the content derived from evidence informed practices.
Certification examinations reflect the evolutionary growth and understanding of the Forensic Nurse science and specialty practices. For persons wanting to take the Generalist Forensic Nursing and Advanced Forensic Nursing certification examination, AACN Essentials define unique domains and performance for Level I and Level II educational preparation for nurses, whether BSN or graduate education.
